First of I highly recommend using lemons to ge trid of pimples, and there are many ways in which you can do that. You need to extract the juice from the lemon, and apply to a cotton pad, you then wash your face or where ever the pimple is with the cotton pad which has lemon juice on. You then leave the solution on for 30 minutes then wash off with warm water. You can also mix lemon juice with rose water, mix enough to cover your pimples. Wash your pimple areas with the solution, leave on for 20 minutes then wash off.

Acne Scar Treatments

Acne or pimples affects almost everybody. Though most pimples heal without leaving any scar, some severe forms of acne, leave scars some of which stay for ever. Although not life threatening, acne can cause depression and low your self-confidence.. There are many scar treatments, so I gathered here for you the best ones.

Dermabrasion is one of the most know scar removal treatments. It removes the damaged skin and allows fresh pink skin to grow. The procedure usually takes less than an hour.

Laser surfacing is another acne scar treatment in which the top layer of skin is burned off by using a layer. This type of acne scar removal treatment is relatively new and there have not been many studies done yet.

Chemical peeling is one of the quickest acne scars treatments. It's done by applying acid to the skin in order to remove the top layer so that a smoother layer can surface. Some redness and swelling is common following treatment. It usually takes about 15 minutes.

Subcision is another famous acne scar treatment. It's done by detaching the scar from deeper tissue, which allows a pool of blood to form under the scar. Then it just levels the scar with the surface. Usually 1-3 treatments are necessary.

Punch replacement is one of the most economic acne scar treatment procedures. It's also one of the best for deep scars. The procedure consists of removal of the pitted scar with a hair-transplant type punch which is then replaced with a skin graft, usually from behind the ear. They may take some weeks in order to heal.

These are some of the most known acne scar treatments. You can learn more about each of them just by visiting a dermatologist. If you are serious about scar removal click below:

How to Get Rid of Acne - Effective Methods on How to Get Rid of Acne

Do you want to know how to get rid of acne well I suppose you do as many people with bad acne do as well? If you notice or go to the supermarket you will realize that most of the products about how to get rid of acne don't work.

Don't get me wrong they do have a slight effect but most of them either don't remove it totally or it does not work or even worse leave a bad smell on your face.

Unfortunately I read on a program a documentary on TV that most of the acne problems actually don't work because they actually only get rid of bacteria only. I think this is bit rubbish if you ask me.

And the worst thing about that is that most of them don't even kill a bacterium which again is more rubbish.

Let me first give a heads up of the three main causes of bacteria that clog up the pores to cause acne and how they don't get rid of acne.

Dirt:

1. This one is easily cleaned up with most of the products available.

Toxins:

2. This one is the second hardest to get rid of it is mainly caused by Mycotoxins These are basically toxins that are released through the skin because the liver cannot deal with them.

Excess oil:

3. This problem is mainly seen through children at puberty when hormones are going wild because the liver can't deal with them. They stay in the body longer which causes the oil glands to into overdrive.

How to get Rid of Acne There are many tips that people give to get rid of acne and here are some based on your situation and skin tone had been found to be the most effective.

1. If you have been using a certain soap for quite a while and you still have acne one of the things you can do is try a new soap. Some of the soaps on the market today contain harsh chemicals in them and they can irritate your acne and skin and make the acne appear worse than it is because it inflames and reddens the skin.

2. Drink a lot of water during the day. When you drink a lot of water this flushes the toxins out of your system and can help with the symptoms of acne.

3. Try not to over wash her skin as this will cause your body to produce more oil to keep your skin from drying out. Over washing the skin can actually do the opposite of the desired effect you are hoping to gain from washing your face.

4. If you take birth control pills consult your physician and let them know about your acne situation they may be able to prescribe a different type of birth control or some cases birth control can actually improve your acne.

5. Being overly stressed can irritate acne and pimples, if you are feeling overly stressed take time to go out and exercise or take a walk to clear your mind. The number one way to relieve stress is to exercise in the fresh air will do you good.

Acne Free in 3 Days - Well, What is it?

There is a lot of hype about an acne cure program called Acne Free in 3 Days on the internet. But what is it? And does it work?

When I first started looking around online for a solution to my acne I found the acne free in 3 days website, and although skeptical that all my acne could be gone in only 3 days, I was curious and also desperate to clear my skin - so I bought the program...

...And was instantly disappointed. You see, the acne free program is basically just a 3 day apple fast. Nothing but apples to eat, and water to drink for 3 whole days!

The theory on why this is supposed to work is that it is a 'cleansing' process that removes toxins that cause acne from the body. This results in clear skin. That's the theory, but does it work?

So I tried the 3 day program when I had the time to dedicate to it. It wasn't easy and I was hungry for 3 whole days straight! But by the end of the 3 days my acne had cleared very well. Not perfect, but a good improvement. For a few days after the fast my skin cleared up even more. And for about a week afterwards I was essentially acne free.

But then the nightmare returned. After a about a week of enjoying normal clear skin, my acne came back. So I re-read the acne free in 3 days book, and found a small note towards the end that stated that the program should be done once or twice every month to remain acne free!

I was gutted. I couldn't possibly do that 3 day fast twice every month, for 2 reasons:

1. It's extremely tiring eating nothing but apples for 3 days. I had no energy and was essentially housebound for the whole 3 days. I simply didn't have the time or energy to do this twice every month.

2. I lost quite a bit of weight doing the fast just once. I feel that to do the fast twice a month could have led me to lose dangerous amounts of weight, although thats just me of course.

So I was back to square-one - acne plagued. And it wasn't until I started to research food that I found out a more practical and effective way to stay acne free. I found that by avoiding vegetable oil, a major cause of acne, my skin cleared up dramatically. If you do the same you too can see great results. Acne Hygiene

One of the most common misconceptions about acne is that it's caused by dirt. It's not! Acne is caused by a combination of factors you can't control, like your hormone balance and the natural pace of your skin's renewal system. Fortunately, there are a number of things you can control that may help you keep your acne in check. Begin by following these simple suggestions for healthy-skin hygiene.

Acne Prevention - Tip #1: Don't over-wash. Since dirt is not causing your acne, excessive scrubbing and washing won't make it go away. Try to limit yourself to two washings per day - anything more than that can leave your healthy skin dry, and your acne-prone areas irritated. Habitual over-washing may also stimulate extra oil production, which could result in more breakouts.

Tip #2: Skip harsh scrubs. It's okay to exfoliate, but be sure to use a gentle formula with small, smooth grains. Avoid products with almond or apricot shell fragments; they can irritate or even tear your skin and further aggravate your acne.

Tip #3: Say no to alcohol. If you use a toner, avoid products with high concentrations of isopropyl alcohol, or common rubbing alcohol. A strong astringent, alcohol strips the top layer of your skin, causing your sebaceous glands to produce more oil. The result? Dry, red skin - and possibly more blemishes.

Tip #4: Don't squeeze or pick. Squeezing or picking your blemishes - with fingernails, pins or anything else - can force bacteria deeper into the skin, causing greater inflammation and infection. You'll also increase the damage to the surrounding skin, so the blemish is more likely to leave a permanent acne scar.

Tip #5: Hands off! Propionibacterium acnes (the bacteria that causes breakouts) is a normal resident of your skin; it doesn't lead to acne until it gets trapped inside the hair follicle. Excessive touching of your face, including rubbing or even resting your chin in your hands, can drive bacteria into your pores - where it can begin its dirty work.

Tip #6: Work out, wash off. When you exercise, your movement generates heat; clothing and equipment cause friction. Until you shower off, heat and moisture are trapped against your skin, creating an ideal breeding ground for the spread of bacteria. So whenever you can, shower off immediately after exercising.

Acne Prevention Treatment -

Find a regimen and stick with it. Most cases of mild acne can be improved with "over-the-counter" products, or products that don't require a prescription from your doctor. There is a wide range of treatments available, and there's a good chance one of them will work for you. If you start treatment before your acne gets severe, you'll have a better chance of avoiding physical and emotional problems down the road. But if your acne gets worse or lasts more than a couple of weeks, see a dermatologist. Here's a quick listing of the most common products used to treat acne - click on the links that interest you for more information on that course of acne treatment.

Dealing With The Psychological Impact of Acne

Research on acne cures and solutions continues as it has for years but there has not been any really conclusive evidence or solution found that can guarantee that some form of acne to some degree will not form at any time during an individual's lifetime. Although acne is mostly seen in teens, it is not uncommon to see acne appear in anyone from babies to senior citizens.

But particularly in the teen years when young people are doing their best to make the best impression possible (usually on someone of the opposite sex), and the fact that acne is most commonly found on one's face, it has been found that acne can cause a psychological barrier and associated problems related to the acne condition.

There is a popular myth which states that young women are much more concerned about their appearance than young men. This is blatantly untrue. Although there are some in both genders who seem to not really care, the ones who do care are pretty much equally distributed between boys and girls.

When acne is visibly present, as opposed to a very mild case of acne, the person becomes concerned about it and can develop problems as a result of that worry, where some people become almost obsessed with it. Many teens become socially withdraw, being very self-conscious of their acne problem and firmly believing that anyone they meet notices their acne problem before they even get to know their name.

The general behavior of teens who struggle with an acne problem are different, and sometimes vastly differently, many of the characteristics displayed are the same or very similar. These would include:

* A lack of self confidence.
* Being pre-occupied and self-conscious about their appearance.
* Over dressing or even going to the opposite extreme, where it would seem that they do not care how they look.
* Pushing away from their friends and family.
* Isolation.
* Suppressed anger.
* Low self-esteem or low self-image of themselves.
* Depression.

Any or all of these symptoms and characteristics can be exhibited with one that suffers from acne, and the number and severity of the characteristic tends to become more acute relative to the severity of the acne problem.

It is interesting to note that young men tend to display these characteristics much more so than young women, simply because young women can cover up much of their acne problem with makeup, although in severe cases this does not work well for the young woman either.

You need to be aware that acne is not just a temporary skin problem, but it is a real skin disease that should be treated. There are various kinds of creams and lotions available over the counter at drugstores, but it may take some trial and error to find the one that works best for you. Everyone is different, and a lotion or cream that works well for one person may have no effect on someone else. Acne can also leave scars, which is something that will be with you the rest of your life.

Find out the truth about acne and take steps to control it by understanding it, understanding what causes it, and what will work best for you to control acne.

Ok first, when is acne medication, like Differin Cream, necessary? There are many situations where acne medication may be necessary. The medication does not work for everyone, and should only be taken after talking with your dermatologist or doctor.

Differin Cream is most commonly used by people with moderate to severe acne. Dermatologists will often prescribe this medication with some sort of antibiotic or herbal supplement (a lot of dermatologists prescribe it along with Nicomide and Amoxicillin). It is a retinoid-based cream that works to reduce the formation of blackheads. It also helps skin cells renew themselves quicker. Differin comes in 2 liquid base forms: Gel and Cream. The only difference in these forms is that the Differin Gel is oil-free.

Like all acne medications, Differin Cream/Gel has some side effects: Dry skin, irritation, peeling, burning, and scaling. The most common side effect is peeling.

Acne medication is not always the best way to minimize it. We have done some research and have found out that the majority of people that use over-the-counter products, simply use the products and take no other precautions when treating their acne.

We believe that anyone can have clear, acne-free skin by following these steps:

* Find one product that has had positive testimonials and has a money back guarantee.
* Wash your face every morning and every night with the cleanser that comes with your acne product

* Drink water until your urine is mostly clear. This usually means drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day. This is the most important step; if you don't follow this step, you probably won't see results.

* Stay away from the caffeinated sodas! These contain a chemical called bromide, which can spike acne.

Most people fail at either step 3 or step 4 and then complain about not seeing results. If you are having problems finding acne products to use with this four-step treatment, visit this site: Acne treatment

Fed Up Of Acne On Your Face - Read This And Discover The Rootcause For Acne Cure

Oily skin is not a disease, its just a skin texture that makes you uncomfortable from which you want to get rid of. Due to lack of proper guidance and information on oily skin care available, it has turned into one of the major skin problems resulting into acne and many other skin problems like pimples, blackheads and blemishes.

Several factors are said to be responsible for the aggravation of an oily skin:

CAUSES OF AN OILY SKIN

1. Heredity is quite responsible for an oily skin, but so do hormones. Pregnant women sometimes notice an increase in skin oil with the changes in hormonal activity. So do women going for birth control pills.

2. Stress can also lead in the overdrive of the oil glands.

3. The wrong cosmetics can easily aggravate an otherwise mild case of oily skin.

Some of these causes are within your ability to control, but others you will have to learn to live with.

In most of the cases, oily skin can be treated at home. But sometimes, the situation demands more than just a home remedy. You need to call for a doctor if you develop severe acne or notice notice any sudden change in your skin. Otherwise, go for these tips and try them at home:

OILY SKIN CARE TIPS

1. Keep your skin absolutely clean - You might be quite aware of the fact, that oilier the skin, the dirtier it looks and feels. And to get rid of this, keep your skin clean by washing it at least twice a day.

Generally, some doctors recommend you to use detergent-type soaps on your face. As a substitute to it, you can add 1-2 drops of dish washing detergent to your regular soap.

While some doctors condemn the use of detergent-type soaps as they are too harsh for your oily facial skin. Instead they recommend glycerin soaps to be used to clean your face twice a day.

If using a detergent soap irritates your facial skin then try the glycerin soap, easily available over the counter.

2. Give Aloe-Vera a Try - This wonder plant of the household is the best at absorbing skin oils. Slice open a leaf and smear the gel on your face 3 times a day. Let it dry. Or you can also keep a small amount of gel in the refrigerator during the summers for a refreshing face-lift.

3. Wipe with Astringents - Wipe the oily spots on your face by rubbing alcohol or a combination of alcohol and acetone that helps degrease your oily skin. Many drugstores even sell pre-moistened, individually wrapped alcohol wipes that are really portable, you can carry them in your purse for quick touch-ups all day long.

4. Carry Tissue papers with you - Paper facial tissues are the best substitute of astringents as they help soak up excess oils in a pinch. Get those special oil-absorbing tissues from a cosmetic counter that are very in removing excessive oils between cleansings.

5. Rinse your face with cold water - Simply splashing your face with cold water and blotting it dry a couple of times a day is equivalent to applying chemicals to your skin. These cold water rinses remove excessive oils from your face.

6. Make your own scrub - Make a paste of a small amount of ground almonds with honey and apply as a facial scrub for removing oils and dead skin cells. Now gently massage this paste on your face with a hot washcloth. Finally, rinse with cold water.

Another scrub from oatmeal mixed with aloe vera can prove to be very beneficial for you. Rub gently on your skin and leave on for 15 minutes, Then rinse thoroughly. And if suffering from acne on your face, then you should probably skip the scrub, as it can aggravate your already-irritated skin.

7. Apply Masques on your oily face - Masques prove to be very beneficial in reducing the oiliness. Either Clay masques or you can mix Fuller's Earth (easily available) with a little water and make a paste. Apply this paste to the face and leave on for about 20 minutes and then rinse off.

8. Go for water-based cosmetics only - Try to make your skin breathe by living without make-up, especially foundation. Using make-up or foundation that are oil-based blocks the pores of your skin thereby resulting in blemishes. And if necessary, then use water-based make-up only, especially spot concealers rather than coating your entire face. In general, prefer stick with powder or gel blushers, and avoid cream foundations as much as possible.

9. Tie up your hair properly - Keep your hair away from your face as oily hair accompanies an oily skin.

10. Do not touch your facial skin - Avoid touching your face throughout the day as your hands deliver excessive oils and dirt.

11. Choose a powder for you - For that extra shine-free protection, use simple products for your oily face such as Johnsons Baby Powder. This makes a superb face powder when fluffed lightly over your makeup.

13. Splash on the hot suds - Hot water is a great solvent. So, warm water should be used to wash an oily face and that with plenty of soap. Hot water plus soap dissolves skin oil better than cold water and soap.
